Mother’s Day | Luke & Mollie (+Mama Mergal)
Date: May 12th, 2013.
Location: Home & Northwood cemetery.
Luke: -comes home, balancing three different bouquets of flowers in his arms- Hey buddy! -grinning when Jackson runs and jumps up at him-
Mollie: -smiles upon hearing Luke’s voice, coming from the kitchen while drying her hands on a dish towel- You know, if you wanted to open a florist you could have given me a heads up first.
Luke: How about ‘aww babe, those flowers are gorgeous’? -grins, moving two of bouquets into one arm, holding out a slightly smaller one for her- These are for you.
Mollie: Sorry. -laughs quietly, smiling softly when she takes the flowers- You got me flowers? ‘Aww babe, these flowers are gorgeous.’ Thank you. -leans in to kiss him quickly-
Luke: That’s better -kisses her back softly, before nodding towards the puppy, who’s jumping up at them both now- And they’re from Jackson, actually. Happy Mother’s Day, mmhm.
Mollie: Oh, are they now? -smiles, looking down to Jackson, before bending down to pick him up, being careful of the flowers- Well then thank /you/, my little wolf cub. -speaks like she’s talking to a baby which gets the puppy all excited, then kisses his head a bunch of times-
Luke: Yup, he asked me this morning if I could go pick them up and everything -chuckles, watching the two of th interact- …Something smells amazing, by the way.
Mollie: See, I told you he totally understands human stuff. -smiles as she leans down to put him down- It does? Right, I failed to mention. You’re having dinner with your mom tonight.. -gives him an innocent smile-
Luke: -both eyebrows shoot up- Wait, huh? Where? /Here/?
Mollie: Yes? -keeps up the smile, rocking on her heels a little- It’s just been so long since you both have sat down and just.. interacted. What better excuse than Mother’s Day?
Luke: I was just gonna swing by her place, drop off flowers… -gestures to one of the remaining bouquets in his arms- Er…When’s she coming?
Mollie: In an hour, so you better get your handsome ass upstairs and change. I put clothes on the bed for you. -smiles as she gestures to the stairs-
Luke: You picked out /clothes/ for me? -trying to hide the huge, amused smile spreading across his face-
Mollie: I’m good to you, don’t be mean. Save all of your jokes for later. Now go, don’t you want to look nice for your mom?
Luke: She doesn’t care how I look, she’s obligated to love me -chuckles, wrapping an arm around her waist and kissing her cheek- But I’ll go, and look good for /you/ -puts the two remaining bouquets on the kitchen counter-
Mollie: And love you she does. -leans into the kiss on her cheek a little- Mmhm, good answer. -smiles, moving to carry on with the dinner, patting his ass on the way past-
Luke: -darts back to tap her ass right back, kissing her cheek, and then hurrying upstairs-
Mollie: -laughs to herself, watching him leave the kitchen before calling out- Love you too!
Luke: -comes down a few minutes later in the clothes she picked up, resting his hands on her waist from behind- Boo.
Mollie: -actually jumps a little, looking over her shoulder at him with a smile- Boo to you too. See, -pauses while she turns around- you look /good/.
Luke: Which means now I look worthy of being your fiancé? -grins, kissing her as soon as she turns around-
Mollie: -smiles as she kisses him back, resting her hands on his arms- You always look worthy of my fiancé, what makes you think you don’t?..
Luke: Well damn, I don’t know. Have you seen you? -all smiles, pulling back to rearrange the two other bouquets of flowers-
Mollie: Duh, I have to look myself in the mirror everyday. That’s why I asked. -turns back to the dinner- I don’t call you handsome for no reason.
Luke: -shakes his head, touching her waist lightly as he slips by her to grab a beer from the fridge- What’re you making anyway, hmm?
Mollie: It’s a chicken curry, something my dad taught me to make at like the age of fifteen. Right out of the Stephen’s family recipe book that I’m sure we’d have if we were cool enough. -smiles, moving to get out the rice-
Luke: Well again. It smells amazing. -looks up before closing the fridge- You want anything to drink?
Mollie: No, I’m okay. Just don’t be getting drunk on Mother’s Day. -playfully frowns over at him-
Luke: It’s one beer! -laughs- I’m a big boy, babe. Don’t worry about me. -pecks her cheek-
Mollie: -gasps- Really? I had no idea you were so grown up. Better step back and let you make your mom a meal all by yourself then. -smiles, leaning against the counter with her arms folded- Since you’re such a big boy now.
Luke: Buuuut I love your cooking? -grins, going to kiss all over her face multiple times- Come on babe. Love you. Looove you.
Mollie: Mmmhm. -laughs, closing her eyes while scrunching up her face- Not so big now, are you? -smiles once she opens her eyes again
Luke: Just because I’m kissing you? -chuckles, kissing her again and again- But you love it too mmhm
Mollie: You’re not /that/ much of a big boy if you have someone else make dinner for you and your mom. -smiles at him- Well, I love you?
Luke: Yeah but we all know that I’m totally hopeless -chuckles- Besides. Totally not ashamed that I like the idea of my beautiful fiancée making dinner for me, her, and my mom. Mmhm.
Mollie: Ah. See, there’s the thing. It’s not for you, me and your mom. Just you and your mom.. -smiles a little-
Luke: -raises an eyebrow, frowning- Wait, what? No. Why…?
Mollie: Because its Mother’s Day.. I wanted you to have a nice dinner with your mother, without me.
Luke: So what’re you gonna do? -frowns, clearly not liking the idea-
Mollie: ..I don’t know. Sit upstairs, take Jackson for a walk, go to get a coffee somewhere. The possibilities are endless. -shrugs her shoulders a little-
Luke: -shakes his head, giving her a look- …Molls.
Mollie: What? Where’s the harm in me wanting you to have dinner with your mom? /Especially/ on Mother’s Day. -goes back to check the dinner-
Luke: Mother’s Day doesn’t mean we have to have dinner without you, though. -still frowning, following her-
Mollie: No, but…She’s your mom. I don’t want to intrude on every aspect of your life. -avoids looking at him, opening the oven-
Luke: …/Intrude/? What? -all confused and unhappy- Nobody said anything about intruding, Molls.
Mollie: -closes the oven door again, standing up straight- I didn’t say they did.. I guess these things, like having time with your mom, just seem more important to me now. I don’t see anything wrong in me wanting to do this for you.
Luke: I don’t want you to be alone. -a bit quieter- And she’s your mother-in-law. Almost. Come on…
Mollie: But that’s not saying that she doesn’t want it to be just you two.. It’s not like I /enjoy/ being away from you. I’m not doing this for kicks. -grabs the oven gloves, takes the pot out of the oven and places it on the counter-
Luke: So then why- -gets cut off by the doorbell ringing, turning his head to look in the direction instead, before looking back at Mollie- I’m not done my argument yet. Just…hold up. -grabs one of the bouquets off the counter, going to open the door with a huge grin on his face- Hey, mom!
Mollie: -shakes her head a little, moving to put a bottle of wine on the table, two glasses and then starting to put the dinner out on two dinner plates-
Mama Mergal: Luke -smiles brightly when he opens the door, hugging him tightly before pulling back and adjusting his shirt slightly- Look at you, looking all smart.
Luke: -hugs her back, kissing her cheek- Yeah, that’s Molls. Not me. But these are for you. -holds out the flowers- Happy Mother’s Day.
Mollie: -puts the plates on the table, before going out to the hall way, smiling- Hey, Mrs. Mergal.
Mama Mergal: Well, she’s improving you already. -slightly teasing, before her expression softens as she takes the flowers from him- Aww, Luke. These are beautiful. Thank you -pulls him, who’s all reluctant, down so she can kiss his cheek- And stop making that face. I’m your mother, this is my right. -all smiles, turning when she hears Mollie’s voice- Mollie, sweetheart. Come here -goes to hug her-
Luke: -makes a face when she kisses his cheek- Mom, you’re gonna get lipstick on my face or something. -mumbles, before standing up straight properly and watching their interaction-
Mollie: -laughs quietly at the expression on Luke’s face- Such a baby. -moves over to hug Mama Mergal- How are you? You look great, as always.
Mama Mergal: And you, darling, look beautiful -pulls back, gently tapping her cheek- And you even managed to fix him up, I hear!
Luke: Am not! -immediately protests, before rolling his eyes- Okay, I see. Team up against me. When I got you flowers. That’s cool, that’s cool.
Mollie: Well, I thought he could at least change out of sweats for you. -smiles, turning her head to look at Luke- Doesn’t clean up too bad.
Mama Mergal: Yes, that comes from my side of the family. -smiles back at Luke, too- And something smells incredible.
Luke: See, mom? I picked one that could cook. How smart am I? -grins, moving past them both to the kitchen, trying to tap Mollie’s ass without his mom noticing-
Mollie: -laughs quietly, shaking her head- By that he just means someone who at least doesn’t burn the house down.. -smiles, leading mama Mergal through to the kitchen-
Mama Mergal: Now if there’s /one/ thing he knows, it’s his food. -laughs- So I doubt that, sweetheart.
Luke: You /see/? -all smug, grabbing her waist and kissing her cheek from behind, before letting her go and grabbing his beer again-
Mollie: I guess we’ll see wont we, since the table’s set. -smiles when he kisses her cheek- I’ll let Jackson run around outside. No one wants a face full of puppy while they’re eating.
Mama Mergal: Will he be fine out there by himself? -moving over to look at the stove-
Luke: -licks his lips, leaning back against the counter with his arms folded across his chest, looking at Mollie, clearly not wanting to explain himself-
Luke: -licks his lips, leaning back against the counter with his arms folded across his chest, looking at Mollie, clearly not wanting to explain himself-
Mollie: Well he can’t get out if he’s in the garden. But I was going to take him out myself, get him out of the house for a little bit. -smiles a little, glancing at Luke-
Mama Mergal: What about dinner, then, darling? -turns to look at her, raising an eyebrow- Or is that after dinner?
Luke: Yeah, babe. -looks kinda satisfied- What about dinner?
Mollie: Dinner… is actually just for you two. -gestures to the two places set at the table- Mother and son kind of thing.
Mama Mergal: -looks between the two of them- Why…?
Luke: I /told/ you… -to Mollie, finally looking properly smug-
Mollie: -glares a little at L
Mollie: Luke- I just though you might want it to be the two of you. Mother’s Day and all.
Mama Mergal: That’s very, very sweet, Mollie. -slowly- But no, no it’s not that I was expecting that. I came over with the intention of the three of us eating. -smiles softly at her- You’re family, after all.
Luke: -ignores the look Mollie gives him, his own expression softening when his mom says ‘family’, a small smile slipping onto his face as he nods once-
Mollie: -opens her mouth to say something but can’t quite get anything out, just laughs at herself instead- Family. Yeah, I should stop before I get all teary and have mascara all down my face. -smiles softly, glancing between them- ..I guess I could stay.
Mama Mergal: You are. -nods, the smile still on her face- And I am a very lucky mother-in-law-to-be for it. -moved forward to touch her arm gently- I’d love it if you did.
Luke: -moves over to Mollie, reaching for her- Nope, no tears. World’s better when you’re smiling. -small chuckle- You see, gorgeous? I told you…
Mollie: I’m trying not to. -smiles at Luke then looks back to his mom- Thank you, for letting me be apart of your family…
Mama Mergal: Don’t thank me, sweetheart. I wouldn’t have it any other way. I’m loving you as part of the family. -nudges Luke- You better know how lucky you got with her, Luke.
Luke: -pulls her to him, kissing her forehead as he wraps his arms around her fully- Oh, I know. Always reminding myself of how damn lucky I am. -eyes on Mollie- Hey. You’re the best part of this family. And the hottest. -all cheekily-
Mollie: -keeps her gaze on Luke, a soft smile sitting on her lips as she gently leans into him, her hands resting on his sides- It’s quite the other way around actually. -laughs at his final comment- Oh Luke, you do pick your moments. -smiling still, presses a kiss to his cheek-
Mama Mergal: Debateable, apparently. -goes to look through the cabinets- So I believe one more setting is necessary?
Luke: Mmhm. It’s a talent, I know -chuckles, kissing her forehead again- I mean it, though. And I love you.
Mollie: I love you, too handsome. -slips a hand around his back, patting his ass while his mom can’t see as payback from earlier then slips away- I believe so. Why don’t you two go and start eating, I’ll sort myself out.
Mama Mergal: -lets them have their moment, before shaking her head- Nonsense, we’ll wait. We’ll start together.
Luke: -shoots her a look when she pats his ass- /Totally/ gonna get you later -mutters into her ear, going to help his mom get dishes-
Mollie: -smiles innocently at Luke, shrugging her shoulders, going to grab some cutlery- Well your dinner is already on the table so all that leaves is mine and opening the bottle of wine.
Mama Mergal: We’ll still wait. -nods decidedly- Where’s the bottle opener?
Luke: That’s my bad, I left it in the wine cellar. I’ll be right back. -kisses Mollie’s cheek, leaving the kitchen-
Mollie: -smiles instantly again when he kisses her cheek, moving to set another place at the table- So, how have you been? -smiles over at mama Mergal-
Mama Mergal: Good. I’ve been working, but still good. -kind of glances sideways at her- And you two…?
Luke: -heading to the wine cellar-
Mollie: Me and Luke? Better than ever. -smiles, straightening up a place mat- I don’t know, I just don’t know of a time where I’ve been /this/ happy.
Mama Mergal: That’s wonderful, sweetheart. And you deserve that, too. -reaches for her necklace, shrugging like she’s about to say the most normal thing- So he’s bitten you, then?
Luke: -goes in, grabs the wine opener, etc-
Mollie: -freezes on the spot for a second, a look of confusion on her face- Um, no? No. He hasn’t.. I don’t really stick around on a full moon to get bitten. He doesn’t let me.
Mama Mergal: No, no, no. -hurriedly, laughing and resting her hand over her chest- God, not like that. Not on a full moon. Just to, mark you and all…? -curiously, totally asking like it’s the most normal question-
Luke: -starts heading back to the kitchen-
Mollie: No, I can’t say he’s /bitten/ me. Why…is he suppose to? I don’t- I’m confused. -lifts a hand to tuck some hair behind her ear-
Mama Mergal: …I thought he would’ve. It’s a natural thing, I mean if he’s identified you as his mate most- -breaks off, seeing her expression, before moving her hair out of the way and kind of adjusting her top, pulling down the left side strap partially so that a mark, resembling a crescent moon, is visible, just under her collarbone-
Mama Mergal: See?
Luke: -picks up the tail end of the conversation, hesitating and stopping just outside the kitchen, not visible, frowning-
Mollie: -moves closer to inspect the mark, furrowing her brow a little- So… I have to get bitten or? What?
Mama Mergal: Well you don’t /have/ to, I’m not telling you that you have to do anything. I just thought, most wolves, /especially/ alphas, they naturally…do. -runs her finger over the mark, kind of smiling sadly-
Luke: -eyes widen and be finally walks into the kitchen, wine opener in one hand and frowning- What the hell is going on? -slightly irritated-
Mollie: -goes to say something before turning around at the sound of Luke’s voice- Uh.. Your mom was just showing me a scar she has. Since I…don’t have any.
Mama Mergal: -immediately drops her hands, her head snapping in the direction of his voice- …Luke. I thought you were…oh, you got the wine opener. Good.
Luke: You know I can /hear/ you, right? -snappily, to both of them, dropping the wine opener on the counter-
Mollie: -kinda glances at mama Mergal then walks over in Luke’s direction, resting a hand on his arm gently- Look, don’t be mad okay..
Mama Mergal: -wrings her hands together nervously- Sweetie…
Luke: Mad? Mad about what? -bitter chuckle- The fact that /you/ -looks at his mom- know about me. /You/ -turns to look at Mollie- apparently knew she did and just didn’t tell me. Or that /both/ of you -pulls back- expect me to /bite/ you? -looks at Mollie again, then back at his mom-
Mollie: Okay, I didn’t tell you because your /mom/ asked me not to. I’m sure she has a very good reason for it. And no one expects you to bite anyone. If you really were listening, you should have heard that. -nervously holds her hands together in front of her-
Mama Mergal: The decision to not tell you was something your father and I decided on together, so… -starts hesitantly-
Luke: What the hell are you guys even doing? And seriously, not expecting me to hear?
Mollie: I told you, showing me a scar. I wasn’t lying about that. -says simply, shrugging her shoulders a little-
Mama Mergal: Luke, calm down…
Luke: ./Calm down/? Calm down, right. We’ll just pretend that you just conveniently left me alone to deal with this bullshit for five years, yeah? -voice raising- That’s what this is, apparently. Fucking bullshit.
Mollie: Hey. -frowns at Luke- One, don’t talk to your mother like that. Two, you aren’t the only one who’s had to deal with stuff like this alone. I don’t even know if my parents intended on telling me I’m a freaking witch but I never lost my shit about it. So can you calm down, please?
Mama Mergal: -opens her mouth to reply, closing it and just looking at mollie when she mentions the witch thing- Wait, slow down….
Luke: Well you never had a reason to because they didn’t blatantly just lie to your face! -glares at his mom- Dad /told/ me not to tell you and you…both of you… -shakes his head- What the /fuck/
Mollie: ….Surprise? -to Luke’s mom then turns back to him- Hey, look at me. -rests her hand on his neck so he has to look at her, stroking her thumbs on his cheeks- Yelling and getting mad is /not/ going to solve anything, okay? Can we just sit down and talk about this instead of yelling?
Mama Mergal: -just holds her hands up, gesturing to the table- I’ll…sit
Luke: -takes a minute to calm his breathing, trying to focus on Mollie and mumbling when his mom’s out of earshot- This is bullshit…
Mollie: -nods a little- I know, I know you’re upset. -kisses his lips softly then presses a lingering kiss to his cheek- Just come and sit down? Please?
Mama Mergal: -goes over to the table, sitting down with her legs crossed, tapping her fingers nervously on the table-
Luke: -weakly kisses her back, letting his shoulders sag slightly- Fine. I….fine.
Mollie: Thank you.-smiles a little, slipping her hand into his and walks over to the table, sitting down-
Mama Mergal: Thank you. -to both Mollie and Luke as they come to the table- I…don’t know exactly where you want me to begin?
Luke: -follows Mollie over to the table, purposely sitting across from his mom instead of beside her, expression stony- You can explain what the hell this biting thing is. You know, one of the many things you just didn’t tell me about maybe the biggest thing in my life? Because I’m not doing it. Not biting anyone.
Mollie: No one said you have to, Luke. -turns to his mom- But I am a little confused by that too.
Mama Mergal: Exactly. I didn’t say you /had/ to. I just thought that you…two might’ve already. It’s normal for when one…wolf -looks at Luke- identifies a mate -looks at Mollie- It’s-your father did it before either one of us knew what it meant, so…
Luke: Sorry… /mate/? -just looks blankly at his mom, then at Mollie, then back at his mom-
Mollie: Wolves mate for life, Luke. -looks at Luke- Well, it’s usually only the alpha of a pack but you get the idea. -chews gently on her lip-
Mama Mergal: From…from what Mollie had told me, last time I was here, you…have tendencies that would make one assume that you’ve identified /her/ as…yeah. Your mate. Alpha and all. Just like your father. -small smile-
Luke: But I-I’m not a full wolf, see, I… -looks at Mollie, his brow furrowed- Wait, that was like 2 and a half months ago. You knew that, this whole time…?
Mollie: Right, because me coming up and telling you your mom thinks I’m your ‘mate’ would have made all the sense in the world.. I wasn’t sure what to think of it myself. -rests her hands in her lap, playing with the ring on her finger- And after that night, you were gone all week. Telling you wasn’t exactly the first thought that had crossed my mind.
Mama Mergal: It’s not her fault, it’s mine. Luke, I asked her not to tell you anything…
Luke: I think we’ve established that, thanks. -shortly to his mom, looking at Mollie again- That’s not fair. -looks at her playing with her ring- What…what do you think about it now?
Mollie: -looks down at her hands briefly before looking up at him- I think it makes me want to marry you even more.
Mama Mergal: -her expression softens visibly when she looks at Mollie, not saying anything-
Luke: Wait…what? It does…? -all confused-
Mollie: -shrugs her shoulders very slightly, looking down at her hands again- I guess it just lets me know that there aren’t more feelings on one side than the other, if that makes sense. Kind of puts my mind to rest that I’m not going to scare you away by wanting to keep you super close.
Mama Mergal: -just sits there and smiles, looking at the two of them-
Luke: Hey… -reaches to touch her hand gently- I love you. Mate or not, because I don’t even…know, really. I will always, /always/ love you. More than anything in the world.
Mollie: -looks up again when he touches her hand- I’m sorry… that I didn’t tell you. But you know that I support you 200% in all of this wolfie stuff, right? The only thing that scares me about it is you turning, that’s it. -holds his hand in both of her’s- Oh, and I will always love you too. -smiles gently at him-
Mama Mergal: -lalala still not saying anything-
Luke: I know. And I love you even more for it. -smiles at her, linking her fingers with his one hand, before looking at his mom- The…the mate thing. How do you know that? I mean, I guess if dad…if you and dad… -furrows his brow- I mean if you guys were then, okay. But how do you know if we…how can we…know…?
Mollie: -smiles, lifting their hands to kiss the back of his then looks over at his mom without saying anything-
Mama Mergal: I mean, I don’t. Not, not for sure. Your dad has books…if you want them. A lot of books. About this kind of stuff. -licks her lips nervously- I didn’t know how to tell you, so I couldn’t give them to you… -clears her throat- But. Mollie…told me what happened, that night you got sh-shot? -voice trembles slightly- Luke, a wolf is…very protective over very few…beings. Like that. That drastically. There’s your pack, and there’s your…. -looks at Mollie- mate. -laughs nervously- Wow, this is strange to actually be talking about.
Luke: -just listens, nodding his head like he’s trying to understand it all- Yeah, those….those books would be helpful. Even after all this time. -last dig, before his expression weakens apologetically- But…okay. Okay, so. So she could be…okay. I can see how that makes sense. -squeezes Mollie’s hand-
Mollie: Ah Mother’s Day, such a normal day in the year. -smiles a little to try and ease up some of the tension- One question though, the whole /bite/ thing.. Where does that come into this?
Mama Mergal: Um….the bite. -small smile, adjusting her position so the mark is visible again- It’s…it’s like, a mark I guess. I mean, you’re not /territory/ but. It makes the wolf happy. Wolf side more, too. And it…it’ll connect you.
Luke: -briefly glances at the bite, stiffening slightly and shaking his head- Connects how? I’m not - I don’t want to bite her. I’m not hurting her. -all protective sounding-
Mollie: Yeah, doesn’t it..hurt? It seems like it should if it leaves a mark like that. -strokes the hand that isn’t holding his on her back of his hand-
Mama Mergal: Hurt? -looks between the two of them before glancing down, her cheeks flushing- No, um. It actually…it feels really g-you’ll both like it. A…lot. -clears her throat again, almost squirming- The wolf will…yeah. I thought Richard was going to turn for a minute. In a good way! I guess, I don’t know. I didn’t feel that. And Mollie… -cheeks still deep red- You’ll um. Love it. Trust me.
Luke: -just looks at her, before his entire face scrunched up and he makes a gagging noise- Ugh. Gross. Mom. Don’t - ew, I don’t wanna know that.
Mollie: -keeps a straight face, before eventually laughing at Luke’s expression- You look just like Trevor. Okay so biting, makes wolf happy, some kind of connection, feels good. Got it.
Mama Mergal: You asked! -still very uncomfortable looking- Wolf side happy, um. It’s like…the mark can…calm him down, make him possessive, a million other things. When he sees it, later. I’m sure you guys will…see. If you do…mmhm. -nods- As for the connection? That’s…you have to test that out. It’s different for every pair. But you’ll be linked. For life. -kind of smiles sadly, touching her mark- And there are other effects. Plus, if you’re a witch, Mollie -shoots her a look- That could mean other stuff, too.
Luke: Do not. -grumbles, still looking all grossed out- Effects…? Like, like good? Like bad?
Mollie: I already feel it without being bitten, but I guess that’s just on my end. Being super sensitive to energy and stuff. Is there anything bad about it?
Mama Mergal: Anything bad about the mark? -shakes her head- No…not-well, depends on what you define as ‘bad’.
Luke: Bad as in anything that would hurt her, in any way -instantly-
Mollie: Either of us. That would be bad for him, at all.. -straight after him, chewing gently on her lip-
Mama Mergal: Look at both of you -laughs- It won’t…as far as I know, it won’t hurt you two. I mean, unless something happens to one of you…God forbid, of course.
Luke: If something happens to me, she’ll be hurt? -frowns-
Mollie: -holds onto Luke’s hand tightly- ‘Something’ meaning?
Mama Mergal: Anything. Any…any pain. You might not feel it as intensely, but you can sense it. And it’s the worst feeling in the world. I’m not even a supernatural anything and…when Richard… -shakes her head, breaking off-
Luke: …Mom. -quietly, reaching for her hand-
Mama Mergal: Hey, if he deserves it! -puts the plates down, holding her hands up-
Luke: Thanks, mom! And love you too, babe!
Mollie: Mhm, of course you do! So. Microwave I guess. -picks up one plate, moving to put it into the microwave-
Mama Mergal: Seems easiest. -nods, leaning on the counter with one hand- So, you two. How’s the wedding planning coming along?
Luke: -finally gets up, going over to the kitchen and coming up behind Mollie, wrapping his arms around her and resting his chin on her shoulder- Mom, did you know how many freaking flowers and kinds of place settings there are?
Mollie: Even /I/ didn’t know how many kinds there were. That’s really saying something. -smiles, leaning to take one plate out of the microwave and put another in- But it’s going good, we used to planner you told me about.
Mama Mergal: Have you guys decided yet, though? Or….when were you thinking?
Luke: -stays fully attached to Mollie, making moving slightly difficult, grinning all huge and kissing her cheek- July sometime. We…haven’t decided an exact date yet.
Mollie: That’s because someone.. -rests a hand on his arm- never did tell me what he thought of the last place we went to.
Mama Mergal: Oh, /I/ see how it is… -laughs-
Luke: Hey, not true! I said it was cool. -kisses her shoulder- You really liked that Ranch place…
Mollie: It was beautiful.. -smiles, taking the second plate out of the microwave and putting in the final one- I just don’t want you to say you like it just because I do.
Luke: If we just did what I wanted we’d have the fastest wedding possible, and skip the reception for sex the rest of the day. -teasing a bit- No, but seriously. I thought it was pretty amazing too.
Mama Mergal: Luke! -all discipline-like after he says the sex thing-
Mollie: You really do have no shame. -goes a little bashful, getting the final plate out of the microwave-
Luke: Am I supposed to? -shrugs, going to lean against the counter-
Mama Mergal: He never has… -shakes her head a little-
Mollie: No, but not having any at all is going to get you into trouble one day. -picks up a second plate, pressing a kiss to his cheek then carrying the two in hand back to the table-
Luke: Not with you it won’t. -grins- And that’s all that matters, so… -grabs the last plate before his mom can and follows her like a little puppy-
Mama Mergal: -already ahead of them, sitting at the table-
Mollie: Don’t be so sure. -smiles, putting one plate in her own place, the other in front of mama Mergal-
Luke: -presses a purposely very sloppy kiss to her cheek before sitting down- Mmmm love you.
Mama Mergal: Luke, leave her alone and eat -laughs-
Mollie: -laughs as she sits down- Thank you. -addressing mama Mergal then picks up her fork- Now if we all get food poisoning, we all blame Luke because he wanted to still eat this.
Luke: We’re not gonna get /food poisoning/, babe, don’t be over dramatic -picks up his own fork-
Mama Mergal: Have some confidence in yourself sweetheart! -pats her arm lightly-
Mollie: Uh-huh, I’m the one being over dramatic here. Not like you ever said something like.. I’d die by eating a sandwich you’ve made. -smiles at Luke before eating a fork full-
Luke: That’s not being over dramatic, that’s a fact! -takes a bite, purposely over exaggerating his ‘mmmmm’ and grinning at her with his mouth full-
Mama Mergal: Luke William Richard Mergal, mouth /closed/ when you chew, and shut up and eat your dinner. -looks all satisfied with disciplining him-
Mollie: -laughs quietly, shaking her head- Luke /William/ Richard Mergal? That’s adorable.
Luke: Aww mom, you see! -literally sounding like a child, gesturing to Mollie- Now she’s gonna make fun of me
Mama Mergal: She’s your /fiancée/, she’s allowed to -shrugs it off, taking a bite finally- Mmm, and this is delicious, Mollie sweetheart.
Mollie: What? -puts a hand on her chest, acting hurt- I would /never/ make fun of you. -turns her head to smile at mama Mergal- Well I’m glad you like it, my dad taught me to make it. He was a really good cook.
Luke: Aren’t at least ONE of you supposed to be on my side? -frowns-
Mama Mergal: Everyone’s on your side, sweetie. -just kind of waves him off, nodding at Mollie- I’ll bet! If this is a sample, I can only imagine.
Mollie: -smiles, reaching over to briefly rest a hand on Luke’s arm- He and my mom would either take turns cooking or do it together, they were both really good.
Luke: -sticks his tongue out at her, focusing on his food-
Mama Mergal: Well if you’ve learned from them, it’s comforting knowing I’m leaving bozo over here in good hands -gestures to Luke, smiling good naturedly-
Mollie: I survived enough when I was sick, so he’s not as terrible as he makes out. -smiles with a nod, eating again-
Luke: ‘Bozo’ is another way to say ‘awesome’, mmhm.
Mama Mergal: Did you? Well, that’s news to me. And nice to hear. -laughs-
Mollie: Mmhm, it was just a bit of the flu. We both got it but thankfully not at the same time.
Mama Mergal: Well I wonder how that happened…
Luke: -smirks- I told her not to kiss me!
Mollie: You asked me to properly move in with you. What were you expecting, a hand shake?.. -looks over at Luke-
Luke: Well, actually- -starts with an even bigger smirk-
Mama Mergal: …./Luke/. -interrupts him immediately, giving him a look-
Mollie: -nods a little without saying anything, just going back to eat-
Luke: What? What’d I do?!
Mama Mergal: Not even answering that, finish eating.
Mollie: -cleans up after dinner, putting the dishes and cutlery in the dish washer-
Luke: -comes back into the kitchen after walking his mom out, coming up behind Mollie and kissing her head, all smiley- Hey
Mollie: -turns her head to give him a little smile- Hey. -moves to wash her hands in the sink- Dinner was nice.
Luke: Really, really nice. -nods- Thanks, by the way. For cooking, for coming up with that. And for sticking around. I was really happy you stayed.
Mollie: It’s Mother’s Day, what kind of fiancee would I be if I didn’t let you see your mom today? -moves to dry her hands- I’m glad you enjoyed it.
Luke: You weren’t crazy bored or anything, right…? -leans against the counter-
Mollie: No, of course not. I love your mom. She’s great. I’m actually just gonna go and get in bed, kind of tired. -quickly kisses his cheek- Night, handsome. -leaves the kitchen-
Luke: …Hold up. -moves forward, gently taking her hand before she can get too far and tugs her back to the kitchen, over to the counter where the third bouquet of flowers, from earlier, is sitting- One more thing.
Mollie: Hmm? -follows him back to the kitchen and over to the counter- Did your mom forget her flowers?.. -looking at the flowers on the counter-
Luke: Nope, they’re sitting in the passenger’s seat of her car right now. -links their fingers- And you have yours. This is the last one I picked up earlier today.
Mollie: -holds onto his hand, looking a little confused as she turns to looking at him- …Is this your way of telling me you’re seeing someone else or? Because that might just break my heart into a million pieces.
Luke: Pretty sure this /mate/ thing doesn’t allow for that. -lightly teasing, before his expression softens, repeating her words from earlier- It’s Mother’s Day. What kind of fiancé would I be if I didn’t let you see your mom today?
Mollie: -slows looks at the flowers again before back to him, the hold on his hand slightly tighter- ..You’ll come with me?
Luke: -moves closer to her, nodding with a small, encouraging smile- I won’t leave your side. I won’t let go of your hand if you don’t want me to. I’ll be right there. I promise.
Mollie: -nods a little, her eyes getting a little teary as she moves to hug him tightly- Thank you. I mean that, thank you.
Luke: -wraps his arms tightly around her, resting his chin on her shoulder- I love you. And I know this is important, to you. Even if it’ll be hard right now. I don’t want you regretting not doing anything later.
Mollie: -buries her face in his neck, sighing at his familiar scent and feel, before lifting her head- I’ve only been once.. It’s been too hard to actually stay there. But with you there, maybe I can. -smiles weakly at him- I love you, too.
Luke: -cups her face in his hand when she pulls away- I’m going to be right there with you the whole time. Okay? -nods, before glancing at the flowers- And I didn’t know what kind of flowers your mom likes, but I picked an arrangement that looked nice, so…
Mollie: She’ll love them, they’re beautiful. -nods a little- She’ll love you for it too. Maybe not as much as I do, but she will. I’m sure of it.
Luke: And will she like me all dressed up in the outfit you picked out for me? -puffs his chest out a bit, trying to get a smile from her-
Mollie: -laughs gently, nodding again- I’m sure she will. I have /great/ taste in fashion after all. ..And in men.
Luke: You do have great taste in men, I’m not gonna argue with that. -nods, reaching for her hand again- Should we go?
Mollie: Yeah. If we don’t go now I don’t think I ever will. -smiles softly, slipping her hand into his-
Luke: Come on. -squeezes her hand gently, picking up the bouquet in his other hand and tugging her towards the door-
Mollie: -holds onto his hand, following him to the front door while grabbing the car keys on the way- Thank you for this, again..
Luke: Hey, stop it. Seriously, you don’t need to thank me. -smiles at her-
Mollie: But I want to. There are a lot of things that I couldn’t do without you, this is one of them.
Luke: -stops by the car- Well that makes two of us, okay? I wanna be there for you like you are for me.
Mollie: -stops in front of him, nodding a little then kisses him softly- We do make a good team after all.
Luke: Lucky for us. You know, getting married…It’d suck if we didn’t -grins, kissing her back just as softly-
Mollie: -rests a hand gently on his arm, smiling through the kiss- And I just can’t wait to be a Mergal. /Especially/ after today.
Luke: You’re /already/ part of the family… -quietly, his grin only growing- Just like I told you.
Mollie: -smiles, reaching to open the car door- I’ll drive. -kisses his cheek as she slips past him, getting into the driver’s side-
Luke: -gets into the passenger’s side, reaching for her hand once he’s buckled up-
Mollie: -puts her seat belt on, starts the car, holding his hand- Aw, look at you. Holding your mate’s hand. -smiles sweetly at him, before pulling out of the drive-
Luke: -shoots her a look- You’re really loving that, aren’t you? You gonna keep calling yourself that?
Mollie: I am /loving/ that, you have no idea. -smiles to herself, keeping her eyes on the road- I love you?
Luke: You’re /seriously/ that…chill about it? -surprise evident in his voice- Like it was fine if you were saying that because my mom was there and she’s technically been in the same boat as you and you didn’t wanna offend her, I just…You’re seriously good with that?
Mollie: No, I’m actually super bothered by the thought of being linked with you for life. I didn’t think that would happen with the whole marriage thing either. -her tone obviously sarcastic, glancing across at him-
Luke: That’s not what I mean, it just… -shakes his head- It’s animalistic. It legitimately makes me sound like an animal. And it’s permanent and I won’t ever….I don’t know. I just don’t want you to be bothered by it.
Mollie: I know, it just gives me a sense of…comfort I guess. Like this is legit and you wont change your mind along the line. Hey, I’m just glad you don’t have the urge to drink my blood.
Luke: -wrinkles his nose when she mentions drinking blood- God, no. …You seriously don’t think it makes me sound like an animal? Predatory, possessive and all that?
Mollie: The biting thing, maybe.. But come on. I love you, all of you, and you know that. The only thing that bothers me about all of this is what you have to go through every month. -stroked her thumb on the back of his hand-
Luke: …Hey, I was serious about that. I don’t need to bite you. Because I can’t hurt you. I won’t.
Mollie: -drives into the grave yard, parking up- Your mom said it wont. I’m sure she’d say so if it would be agonizing.
Luke: Yeah, I mean I realize she said it would be…pleasurable or whatever -scrunches up his nose and gags because he’s talking about what his /mom/ said- But still. Plus, where would I bite you? /How/ would I bite you? Are you gonna /bleed/…?
Mollie: Let’s face it.. -turns off the car engine, turning her head to look at him- If you did it you would /love/ it. Just like when you leave love bites on my neck, but permanent.
Luke: But I don’t want to /hurt/ you… -mumbled, quietly-
Mollie: Hey, if it happens it happens. And if it hurts, believe me, you’ll know about it. -smiles weakly at him-
Luke: -still clearly uncomfortable with the idea, shaking his head before giving her a weak smile back- This….Isn’t about this right now. -lifts their hands to his mouth, kissing her knuckles- Let’s go see your mom.
Mollie: -nods a little, sighing quietly- Yeah, okay. -pulls back taking her seat belt off, takes the car keys out then gets out of the car-
Luke: -sighs before getting out of the car, holding the bouquet in one hand and going around to stand next to her-
Mollie: -slips her hand into his almost instantly when he’s next to her, starting to walk-
Luke: -links their fingers, letting her lead the way through the cemetery-
Mollie: -keeps quiet during the walk, eventually talking once they get to the grave, her tone quiet and shaken- ..Hey mom.
Luke: -looks from her to the headstone, squeezing her hand reassuringly, hesitating and not knowing if he should move back and let her have her moment or not, or even if he should say anything-
Mollie: -turns to look at Luke, forcing a smile, before moving forward to remove the dead flowers from the grave- I’m sorry for running away last time. Guess I’m just not as brave as you are. I wont this time, I have someone to hold my hand. Just like you used to when I was sad or scared.
Luke: -keeps their hands together, holding out the new bouquet for her, not thinking it’s his place to actually put it down-
Mollie: And Luke got you flowers. -smiles a little at him- If you didn’t already love him, I’m sure you do now. -takes the bouquet form him, pressing a kiss to his cheek then kneels down, putting the flowers down-
Luke: …Hey, Mrs. Stephens. -finally, hesitantly, looking at Mollie to check if its okay if he talks-
Mollie: -stands up again- You don’t have to.. -softly to Luke-
Luke: -smiles when he realizes he kind of has approval to talk- No, I want to. -kisses her forehead, finally moving closer to the grave to stand next to her- …And Mr. Stephens. -looks at the other headstone, before looking back at Mollie- I mean, is it okay if I…?
Mollie: -smiles as she watches him, nodding a little- I’d love you to.
Luke: -nods, before turning back to the grave(s)- It’s uh. Luke. Mergal. I know Molls just said that, but still. -clearly all nervous- Um. Just…wanted to say ‘hi’ I guess. I know…I know that maybe you were never my biggest fans. But still, you were always nice to me. And I guess I just wanted to let you know that I love your daughter. More than anything in the world. -squeezes Mollie’s hand- She’s the best thing in my life, and for some reason she decided to stick around with me. But…She misses you. Both of you. A lot, even though she’s strong more often than not. But it’s okay, you…don’t have to worry. Because I’ll protect her. From everything, if it’s the last thing I do. I’ll…I’ll take care of her. I promise. -forces a smile, not really realizing he’s rambling- Anyways, I - yeah. You’re missed. Both of you. Um. That’s…that’s all, I guess. But uh. It was nice talking to you. And…Happy Mother’s Day, Mrs. Stephens. -finally looks over at Mollie when he’s done, giving her a weak smile and trying to judge her reaction-
Mollie: -keeps her gaze on him as he speaks, her eyes filling with tears more and more as she listened to him, finally spilling over when he looks at her, moving to hug him- Thank you. -in a whisper as she cries-
Luke: Hey, hey, hey. -immediately pulls her into his arms, hugging her tightly- Don’t cry, Molls. Please don’t cry.
Mollie: It’s not.. it’s not bad crying. -leans her head back, resting both hands on his neck with her eyes still tear filled-..You’re perfect. You’re so perfect and you don’t even know it.
Luke: -shakes his head, opening his mouth to protest- No, I’m-Hey, look. Smile then, okay? If they’re happy tears, smile. Please?
Mollie: -stays quiet for a second, just looking at him, before giving him a small soft smile- You can say you’re not all you want, but to me you are. /For/ me you are.
Luke: -takes her face in his hands, brushing the tears away with his thumbs- I love you.
Mollie: -closes her eyes briefly, the smile still on her lips, looking into his eyes once she opens hers again- I love you, too. And thank you again. It’s means more than anything that you’re doing this for me.
Luke: It means more than anything that you’re /letting/ me, Molls. -softly- Really. It does.
Mollie: Hey, you are family after all. -smiles at him, leaning her head to press a lingering kiss to his cheek-
Luke: -grins all huge- And I told you that this would be a good idea. -nods- I’d actually kiss you, but I don’t want your dad kicking my ass.
Mollie: -laughs quietly, shaking her head- No, and you do not want to piss a ghost off. Especially not a daddy ghost.
Luke: Hands to myself right now, Mr. Stephens! -holds his hands up and faces the grace briefly- See?
Mollie: -laughs, moving to wrap her arms around his waist from behind, her chin resting on his shoulder- I’m sure he really appreciates that. My mom too.
Luke: Hopefully they don’t get mad at what /you’re/ doing. Because I have no control over that. -chuckles-
Mollie: Me? I’m hugging you! That’s nothing to get mad at. -leans her head gently against his- They know I’m a cuddler.
Luke: Yeah, but I don’t wanna get in trouble for cuddling their /baby/ right in front of them. -smiles, resting his hands over hers-
Mollie: I don’t think you will. -smiles, leaning her head to kiss his cheek- Do you think we could have a quiet night in tonight? You, me and Jackson?
Luke: Get in bed, see what movies are on? -offers, tilting his head back a bit-
Mollie: -nods, a soft smile on her lips- Sounds perfect. -pulls away, moving towards the headstone again- Bye mom, bye dad. -kisses her hand then puts it on her headstone- Sweet dreams.
Luke: -takes a small step back to let her say bye, wrapping an arm around her waist and kissing the side of her head when she’s done- Bye, Mr and Mrs. Stephens.
Mollie: -leans into him when he kisses her head, resting her hand on his back as she starts to walk away- Again, thank you for coming with me.
Luke: Hey, I loved it. Loved meeting the parents. -grins, before hesitating when they pass his dad’s grave- Hold up, there’s…flowers. Um. Stems - that’s…that’s my dad’s grave.
Mollie: -looks over in the direction of his dad’s grave, chewing on her lip nervously as she debates on saying something- …I-I know. It was me.
Luke: ….What? -turns fully to face her, his expression blank-
Mollie: -looks at him in return, licking her lips through nerves- I..saw the grave the last time I was here. I had flowers for my mom and dad and I just wanted to leave some for your dad. If I overstepped a line then I’m sorry, but he’s your /dad/. As much as you didn’t get long, he’s the reason you’re here. He’s the reason you’re how you are and I can’t thank him enough for being apart of that. If it weren’t for your dad, you wouldn’t be here, I wouldn’t be happy and the world in my eyes would just be a dark, horrible and pointless place.
Luke: -opens and closes his mouth a few times, still in shock- But you hardly knew him, he - he was a /dick/ most times you saw him, wasn’t he? I mean, how…
Mollie: Because he brought /you/ into this world. It doesn’t matter what kind of person he was, /you/ are amazing and because of that he’s the root of my happiness. You’re a great man and I even told him that he should be proud of you when I came here. Because he should. From what I’ve seen and heard, you’re twice the man he was. Even /I’m/ proud of you, proud to say you’re mine and proud to almost be your wife.
Luke: -doesn’t even know how to respond to that and simply shakes his head, before taking her face in his hands and pulling her into a passionate kiss, cutting her off before she says anything else-
Mollie: -goes to continue her argument before she gets cut off, a little taken back by the kiss at first until she kisses him back just as passionately, her hands moving up to rest on his forearms-
Luke: -deepens the kiss, keeping with it until he has to pull back for air and rests his forehead against hers, eyes closed, before he kisses her again, softly, multiple times-
Mollie: -takes a small step so that her body is just touching his, her eyes remaining closed during the break, a smile creeping it’s way to her lips, before meeting each of his kisses, one of her hands moving to his side-
Luke: …I love you. -finally, before kissing her again for the last time- I love you so much.
Mollie: -returns the final kiss, her eyes remaining closed for a moment after their lips separate, a little our of breath- …I love you, too. -opens her eyes finally to look at him, breaking out in a smile- But you already knew that.
Luke: You think I’m perfect? /You/ are perfect. And you’re the most incredible woman that I know. -their foreheads still connected, giving her a soft smile-
Mollie: I don’t know, I think we’re just perfect for each other. That I’m okay with. -moves a hand from his arm to his neck, thump stroking his cheek-
Luke: I’m /telling/ you that you are. So shh, no arguments. -unable to resist kissing her again-
Mollie: But I didn’t do- -gets cut off by another kiss, unable to fight a giggle against his lips, kissing him in return-
Luke: Hey, Molls? -chuckles when he pulls back- We’re making out in a cemetery
Mollie: That is highly inappropriate.. -laughs a little- Shall we head home?
Luke: Mmhm. Making out at home sounds /perfect/ -grins goofily-
Mollie: -shakes her head with a smile still on her lips- Come on, fiancé. -slips her hand into his, walking towards the car-
Luke: -links their fingers, continuously leaning over and kissing her cheek or head as they walk-
Mollie: You are /super/ affectionate right now. This isn’t a weird grave yard fetish is it? -teases, looking sideways at him-
Luke: Okay, ew. -chuckles, shaking his head- Besides, since when do you complain about that kind of stuff? -steals a kiss when she looks at him-
Mollie: -laughs quietly, shaking her head a little- Never. Wasn’t even complaining, I love it. -slips the car keys out of her pocket-
Luke: -kisses her again, taking the keys from her as he does so- My turn to drive
Mollie: -kisses him back, pouting at him afterwards- Hey, you’re not allowed to use kisses to take things from me.
Luke: I learned that from you! -grins, winking at her as they reach the car-
Mollie: Oh yeah. -smiles proudly, walking around to the passenger side of the car, opening the door- So..you’re not mad at me?
Luke: -gets into the car, raising an eyebrow- Mad at you?
Mollie: -gets into the car, putting on her seat belt- The flowers.
Luke: …On my dad’s grave.
Mollie: -nods a little, chewing on her lip-
Luke: I just /kissed/ you. -gives her a look-
Mollie: Mm, you kiss me a lot. Just wanted to be sure you weren’t.
Luke: Molls. -leans over, kissing her cheek- I’m not mad. I think you’re incredible. -starts up the car-
Mollie: Okay, good. -smiles a little over at him- And for the record? It means the world what you did for me today.
Luke: -starts driving, glancing over at her with a smile- Hey, I’m just glad you’re happy.
Mollie: I never thought I would be there with a smile on my face.. I have only you to thank for that, so thank you. Really.
Luke: -reaches for her hand as he drives- And any time you wanna go back there? You just let me know, okay?
Mollie: -leans her hand over to hold his- Okay, I will. It’s be nice to have someone hold my hand like that. And you know.. If you ever want to kiss me like that again. Feel free. -smiles at him-
Luke: Anytime, I mean it. -laughs after a minute- Yeah? You liked that kiss, huh?
Mollie: Like you really have to ask..-smiles, lacing their fingers together-
Luke: Well, I thought it was a damn good kiss if I do say so myself, too -smirks-
Mollie: I’ll allow you to keep a big ego about this one, because I can’t disagree. -laughs a little-
Luke: I’ll try and catch you off-guard again some time, mmhm
Mollie: I’d say the same for you but maybe it’s just a girl thing. -subconsciously plays with his fingers-
Luke: -just chuckles, shaking his head a little as he pulls up to their house, turning the car off- Well. Home sweet home.
Mollie: You shake your head at me too much. -smiles, leaning over to kiss him quickly, undoing her seat belt, then gets out of the car and unlocks the front door-
Luke: You earn the head shaking too much! -grins, following her out of the car, locking it and heading into the house-
Mollie: Not even! -goes inside, closes the door behind her and slips her shoes off- You’re just rude. And mean.
Luke: -kicks his shoes off, scooping her into his arms bridal style as she’s in the process of doing hers- Mmhm, you’re right. I’m so mean.
Mollie: -ends up only taking one off before she’s picked up, laughing as she holds onto him- Mmhm, you are. If I didn’t know any better I’d think you didn’t like me.
Luke: Hey! Now that’s not fair. I’m not /that/ kind of mean. -spins her around with a grin-
Mollie: As long as you know you’re mean! -laughing as they spin- What’s this, practice?
Luke: Mmhm. Everything that just happened was me being /so/ mean. -kisses her nose with a goofy grin- You want it to be practice?
Mollie: -smiles, scrunching her nose up slightly- Well, practice makes perfect. -leaves kisses all around his face-
Luke: You wanna run through /all/ of the wedding night? Cause you know. Practice makes perfect. -all teasing and grinning-
Mollie: Alright, okay. -nods a little- I could do with sleeping so yeah. Let’s go!
Luke: You sleep on our wedding night and I will kick you ass. No matter how cute it is. -laughs-
Mollie: Ooh how much more tempting you just made it! -smiles- After being on my feet all day I’ll sleep like a baby.
Luke: Oh, no. We will be doing all kinds of things that babies wouldn’t even know about. Mmhm. No arguments.
Mollie: Only..if you never /ever/ talk about having sex in front of your mom again. -playfully glares at him-
Luke: I…what? -pretends to be all innocent- Me? I would /never/
Mollie: Mmhm. Because I think I almost died of embarrassment.
Luke: Oh come on! It wasn’t /that/ bad…
Mollie: You said you wanted sex as a thank you for asking me to move in! Yes, it was to me.
Luke: I didn’t actually /say/ that…. -grins-
Mollie: But it was obvious that’s what you meant! And that my most desirable quality is something x-rated. -pouts at him-
Luke: I was kidding around, come oooon. -kisses her cheek- We both know you have plenty if desirable qualities, and they’re not ALL x-rated. Just a few.
Mollie: Mmhm. -nods a little- You have lots of desirable qualities too. -smiles again, kissing his cheek in return-
Luke: Mmmm, you wanna list a few? -grins, holding her with one arm and pulling off her other shoe before holding her again, all supernatural speed so he doesn’t drop her-
Mollie: -laughs, wrapping her arms around his neck- I feel like Cinderella in reverse. But if I told you where would the mystery be? Am I not allowed a /little/ mystery?
Luke: Pretty sure Prince Charming wasn’t a werewolf, though -small smile, carrying her in the direction of the stairs- Hmm. Mystery. Because you are /oh so/ mysterious, sure.
Mollie: Hey, you told me you’d be my Prince Charming. -smiles at him, her fingers playing with his hair- But I’d rather have you any day. And okay, maybe I’m not the most mysterious woman on the planet. But you loove me.
Luke: Well then we’re making up our own version of this fairy tale, clearly. -smiles at her playing with his hair, walking up the stairs- I do. Very much.
Mollie: Mmhm, I like this fairy tale. You’ve still got to wake me up with a kiss though. You promised. -presses soft kisses to his cheek- And I love you, even more so when I don’t have to walk myself up the stairs.
Luke: That’s not Cinderella! -chuckles, grinning as she kisses his cheek- But one day I’ll catch you off guard and wake you up with the best kiss ever. Promise. -turns his head to catch her in a kiss- Oh yeah? Miss lazy.
Mollie: At least you know your Princesses, but you did promise. -smiles- Even better than that kiss earlier? Because it’s gonna take some beating.. -returns to kiss, a smile on her lips- Hey, I didn’t ask to be carried up. You did that all by yourself.
Luke: Mmhm, even better than that. You’ll wake /up/ to being kissed. All over if you want. How’s that? -kicks the door to their room open, turning so he can walk in without her bumping her feet or head- Well I figured I could give you a break from the exceptionally difficult task of walking yourself up the stairs.
Mollie: Ugh, you’re the best fiancé a girl could ask for. -smiles at him, before looking over to the bed where Jackson is sleeping- Aw.. -speaks in a hushed tone- Our baby’s sleeping.
Luke: You’re continuously fluffing my ego, you know that? -rests his head against the side of hers, chuckling- God, you’re adorable.
Mollie: I know, and it makes you smile so I’m okay with that. -giggles quietly, resting her head back against his- Think we can find a way to cuddle without waking him up?
Luke: Well then by all means, continue. -grins- I’m sure we could find a way. I accidentally knocked against him on the couch the other day and he just moved to curl against my legs.
Mollie: -smiles as her fingers resume playing with his hair again- You did? Aw, poor baby.. He is adorable though, isn’t he? But wait until he’s fully grown. He’ll be knocking you back.
Luke: He will not! -frowns- I can totally take him. One hundred percent. Just watch. -walks her over to the bed, trying to decide where to put her down so as not to disturb Jackson-
Mollie: Hey, beat up my Jackson and I beat you up. Okay? He got me through some tough times mister. -keeps a straight face, nodding a little- We’re still gonna cuddle though, right? Because I’ve been looking forward to it the /whole/ way home.
Luke: You’re more harmless than he is! -laughs, kissing her nose- Mmhm, mmhm. We will, don’t worry, gorgeous. -decides instead to just turn and fall back into the pillows instead, holding her on top of him now-
Mollie: Sure sure, you just missed me almost kicking Annabel’s ass. You wouldn’t think I was so harmless if you saw that. -nods proudly, before laughing as he falls back, looking down at him- Comfortable down there?
Luke: Well you’re harmless to /me/ at least. Better? -adjusts how he’s holding her in his arms, leaning up to kiss her softly before relaxing against the pillows again- Mmmm, /very/. Are you?
Mollie: And that is because your arms are almost bigger than my head, what do you expect? -smiles, kissing him back, moving to rest her head on his shoulder- Couldn’t be more comfortable. Or happier.
Luke: They are not! That’s more of a weird picture than a flattering one -shakes his head- Good. Because this is perfect. I like holding you.
Mollie: -laughs, closing her eyes- Sorry, it’s a funny picture to me. Still wouldn’t like to be someone who gets punched by you. Hey… What makes you cuddle with me when you’ve never really been a cuddler before? I’m just curious.
Luke: I wouldn’t /punch/ you, anyways. -half closes his eyes, running his fingers lightly up and down her side, taking a minute to respond- …I don’t know. Maybe it’s because I’ve never felt like this about anyone before. I have this constant need…/desire/ to be close to you. Always. Maybe it’s because I know how much you love it, and I love making you happy. It’s…I don’t know. I just know it’s one of the greatest feelings. But just with you. -all mumbled and nervous-
Mollie: -smiles to herself while she listens to him, staying quiet for a moment- ..I do love to cuddle. But only with you, everyone else can suck it. I also like that answer. I like that answer /a lot/. -lifts her head a little to smile at him, kissing his cheek- I happen to like you a lot too.
Luke: Well I like your response to my answer, too. -smiles, tilting his head to kiss her lips softly instead- And hey, just ‘like’?
Mollie: -smiles, resting a hand on his neck while kissing him back- Hmm, I meant love. Always mean love.
Luke: Mmmm, that’s better. -rests his hands on her waist- /Much/ better.
Mollie: You /know/ I love you. -smiles, keeping her lips barely touching his- The question is..do you love me too?
Luke: -leans forward to try and kiss her properly again- What kind of a question is that?
Mollie: One that I hope you’ll say yes to. Becauseeee.. -smiles, burying her face in his neck, speaking in an excited tone- We’re getting married!
Luke: -laughs, grinning all huge when she burrows her face in his neck- You’re crazy adorable, you know that?
Mollie: I try to be. -smiles, pressing a kiss to his neck, then lifts her head again- You seem to like adorable, so that’s okay.
Luke: Just with you! I’m a total sucker when it comes to you and you know it.
Mollie: Mmhm, and I love it. -smiles, turning her head to look at Jackson as he suddenly jumps up and runs out of the room- …Someone’s awake. Crazy pup.
Luke: -grins, rolling them over as soon as there’s room, so he’s hovering over her instead- But now look what we can do
Mollie: -laughs, looking up at him- Sleep? Yes, great idea! Night, Luke. -turns onto her side, closing her eyes, fake snoring-
Luke: Here, I’ll take your jeans off for you so you’re more comfortable. -grins, unbuttoning her jeans-
Mollie: -giggles, catching his hand in her’s- If there was an award for being the creepiest, most adorable yet hottest fiancé.. You would win! -turns onto her back again, leaning up to kiss him-
Luke: I’m not being creepy! -laughs- You can’t tell me you seriously wanna sleep with jeans on
Mollie: I’ve done it before. -smiles- But I’m so glad you can admit to being adorable now. -turns on her side again- Are you gonna cuddle with me or float up there?
Luke: Well I’m gonna take /mine/ off. I still think you should do the same -chuckles, unbuttoning and kicking off his own jeans- And adorable, huh? I never said that
Mollie: Nope, but you didn’t argue against it. -slips her jeans off her hips then kicks them off- There.
Luke: See, now why didn’t you let me do that! -gestures to her jeans-
Mollie: What, do you want me to put them back on so you can? Because I can. If it means that much to you.
Luke: Next time. -nods, starting to take his shirt off before hesitating and grinning at her- Or do you wanna do these honors?
Mollie: -laughs, shaking her head- Nerd. -picking up the hem of his shirt, pulling it up and over his head- What is this, an underwear cuddle now?
Luke: I always sleep in my boxers! -shrugs it off- If you wanna make it an underwear cuddle for /you/ I don’t mind. /Or/ -looks all excited- You can put that shirt of mine on and I won’t complain
Mollie: Well I didn’t think you were sleeping just yet. -smiles, shaking her head a little- No, this is a nice shirt. You don’t /sleep/ or cuddle in a nice shirt.
Luke: Well either way. I like being in my boxers -rolls his eyes a bit- Molls, a shirt is a shirt.
Mollie: I know you do, and I’m not complaining. -shakes her head- Noo, it’s not! I like this shirt. I’m not ruining a nice shirt of yours. Any other shirt, okay.
Luke: …/Any/ other shirt? -grins, turning on the lamp on the bedside table, and getting out of bed and speeding over to the closet, turning the lights in the room off and getting back into bed, holding one of his warm up jerseys in his hand- Ha. -all triumphantly, holding it out for her-
Mollie: -sits up when he moves, watching him until he moves back, laughing a little when she recognizes the jersey- Ha? You say that like I wouldn’t wear it anyway. -pulls her shirt over head, throwing it into the laundry then takes the jersey and slips it on, standing up on the bed with hands on her hips- How do I look?
Luke: Yeah, but it says my name so shhhh, lemme love it. -grins, looking up at her from where he’s lying back on the pillows- You look incredibly sexy. I’d give you the actual jersey and not the warmup one, but it’s dirty and smelly
Mollie: A name which’ll be my name soon too. -smiles, getting off the bed to grab a hair tie and put her hair up- This one still smells like you so I’m not complaining. Not complaining at all.
Luke: Mmhm. Exactly. -puts his hands behind his head and watches her, before reaching one arm out for her- C’mere. You look too good to be far away.
Mollie: -smiles over at him before going over, getting back on the bed, laying down beside him- Yeah, you look better up close too.
Luke: -kind of rolls over, resting his face against her and pressing his lips to her shoulder- You smell good.
Mollie: -bends one knee up, smiling at him- You do realize that you’re smelling yourself right now?
Luke: Nope. -pops the ‘p’- Stronger sense of smell, remember? I know what you smell like. And it’s gooooood mmhm.
Mollie: -looks up at the ceiling, smiling to herself- Oh, yeah. I forgot about that part. Well I’m glad you like how I smell, you don’t smell too bad yourself.
Luke: -shifts even closer, nuzzling into her neck instead- Bet you that you smell better.
Mollie: -laughs quietly, moving her hand to rest on the back of his neck, fingers in his hair- Uh-uh, no. You smell /amazing/.
Luke: Yeah, well. However you smell drives me /crazy/, so…. -closes his eyes-
Mollie: -rests her head against his, closing her eyes, falling into silence for a moment- ..Thank you for tonight. Again.
Luke: Thank /you/ for tonight. Tag team effort. -grins, speaking quietly-
Mollie: Well we do make a pretty great tag team, if I so say so myself. -laughs quietly, trying not to move too much- It was lovely though. Really.
Luke: -wraps one arm around her, not moving his face from its position- Well, I’m glad you had a good time.
Mollie: You were there, of course I had a good time. You just make me instantly happy without even trying. -her fingers begin to play with the bottom of his hair-
Luke: -relaxes noticeable when she starts playing with his hair- You do the same thing too, you know.
Mollie: To you? Really? -smiles, turning her head to press a kiss to his- Well that makes me /really/ happy. Like you don’t even know.
Luke: Mmhm. Always. -presses his lips to her neck after she kisses his head- This makes me instantly happy too.
Mollie: That’s funny, because it makes me instantly happy too. I’m also really happy that we can spend the rest of our lives, doing this every night. Because this is perfect.
Luke: You’re perfect… -mumbled, slipping his hand under the jersey of his she’s wearing, so it’s resting on the skin of her waist instead-
Mollie: No, /we’re/ perfect. That I’ll accept. -shivers a little at the contact between his warm hand and her skin-
Luke: -starts tracing little patterns on her waist- Shhh, no. You. Take a compliment for once in your life please, beautiful.
Mollie: ..If I am perfect it’s because you’ve made me that way, you complete me. -traces her fingers on the back of his neck-
Luke: Just say ‘Yes, dear. Thank you dear’ -grins against her neck-
Mollie: -laughs a little- ‘Yes, dear. Thank you dear’. You’re perfect too.
Luke: Love you. -even more mumbled as he tries to bury his face more against her neck-
Mollie: -giggles quietly at his burying into her neck- Love you too, my handsome, strong and sexy fiancé.
Luke: Continue…. -all teasing-
Mollie: Nope, I’m done. -smiles, yawning- …And a little sleepy.
Luke: Well, I’m comfortable. -muffled against her neck-
Mollie: Then don’t blame me if I fall asleep like this, okay? Because I’m most likely to. -rubs her lips together, closing her eyes-
Luke: I’m…already halfway there. -mutters, pressing his lips to her neck yet again- Mmmmhm.
Mollie: -smiles a little, sighing contently- I love you.
Luke: Love you too -automatically, wrapping his arm more snugly around her-
Mollie: -settles down, her breathing evening out as she drifts off to sleep-
Luke: -tries to stay awake, but nuzzles more into her and falls asleep almost immediately after her breathing evens out-
Four Months | Luke & Mollie.
Why does it worry you? It’ll be pleasurable for you. Very very very much so. Promise. PINKY SWEAR! Okay, noooo. I always have the munchies. I like food. It’s probably a wolf thing. And I can too sit still if I really want to! And um…I’m tired? And duh they smell like that, they were stirred before baking in a pot. What? No, baby, no. Don’t take them away. Please? Please please please?
Because clearly you’ve had a lot of experience in the area. No, it’s not a wolf thing. You can’t sit still, you slept like a log last night and they smell like marijuana. Luke, baby, you’re high. Okay? As much as I love you and hate to kill your buzz.. But a bunch of girl scouts just screwed you over and got you stoned.

HA YOU SAID IT THAT MEANS WE’RE GOING TO DO IT. Yes, yes, YES. Or what we could do is put the brownies in the microwave and make them melty instead of crumbly first. But still. I can do ice cream and sex. Mmmmm yes. And I am nooot! Prove it. Just prove it. Also if you don’t come and eat the brownies, I’m gonna eat them. Because they’re delicious.
Your knowledge of food sex worries me. Maybe next month, okay? You know.. when you’re not high! Prove it? Okay, you have the munchies, you can’t sit still, your eyes are red and these brownies smell like pot! Nope. I’m trying them away, you can eat anything else but these.

I do that! We could try it sometime if you want! Sex with the brownies. We could make it work, yup. And whaaaat? Noooo.
Yeah, no.. I’d rather the earlier ice cream idea of yours. Brownies means crumbs everywhere. And I mean everywhere. You are too! Oh god Luke, you need to drink water or take a nap or..something.

Yes. With my floor, that has a spot for you. I’m patting it right now and getting it ready. Whaaaaat? Me? Weird? Psht. That’s ridiculous. They’re godly is what they are. If I could have sex with these brownies, I would.
For me? Awe, well that’s just too kind of you. Godly brownies that you would have sex with? Okay. I’m sorry to burst your bubble, but that might be a little messy. And oh my god you’re high!

Shhhh, just let me be comfortable with my floor. Come on, I even saved a spot for you! Hey, you know what I will share with you? These girl scouts came by earlier and I bought brownies off them. Supporting the community and stuff, you know. They are amazing.
With your floor. Right….Okay. You bought brownies from some girl scouts? Sure they weren’t pot brownies? You’re acting a little weird.

Beeecause I’m waiting for you? Laying on the floor is also a great way to digest, did you know? I finished the frozen pizzas. And one bag of chips. I’m working on the second.
Then why not lay on the couch? Or the bed? There are so many better places than the floor. You’d me more comfortable too. Wow, okay. Is that how it is? You don’t share food anymore. I see how it is, I’ll get my own food and share with Jackson.

Let’s not fight me. Let’s lay on the kitchen floor with me. Although I’m considering moving to the front porch. Or the foyer. Hmm.
Here’s a question, why are you laying on the floor to begin with?
